Women's Development Team

Following the success of the inaugural season for our Women’s 1st XI, we’ve seen fantastic interest in the women’s section and are excited to now field a Development Team.

The Development Team provides a supportive and enjoyable environment for players who are new to cricket, returning to the game, or looking to build confidence and experience in match situations. The focus is on learning, development and enjoyment, while still playing competitive cricket.

The team will compete in the Home Counties Super 8s competition and the Oxfordshire Development Hundred, offering regular game time and a clear pathway into the Women’s 1st XI for those who want to progress.

Above all, the Development Team is about giving more players the opportunity to play, improve and enjoy their cricket as part of the Oxford Downs community.
